Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor who is well known for his part in the tv show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started in his early college days. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active in both films and television, but it was his character on the small screen that have earned him recognition and fans. His ability to play characters on both sides of law has captured the attention of viewers. His initial project was a television serial, however, he was later cast in his role as an NYPD detective. The actor has been nominated several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards in recognition of his small-screen acting performances. One of his most striking facial features is thought to be his piercing blue eyes that are considered to be a trademark and have aided in creating characters that are savage and charismatic. In 2006, he was included in the publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
